Charles had a huge expensive coronation in London this year and now all of a sudden here in Edinburgh yesterday 5 July 2023 an “honour of Scotland” service.

Expenses – we the Scots are being forced to pay for it including £22,000 for a weird sword for the ceremony. Why? Can Charles not afford to pay for the “honour of Scotland” service he is so loaded – King Charles inherited £650m tax free, receives £350m a year tax free from us the tax payers and has an estate worth £22bn which is never taxed.  Scotland already contributed a huge amount for his coronation in London. Not only that it is a secret how much was spent on it – our money we should know surely. Once these things start being treated as secret what next expenditure by the scottish gov will be secret?

Public Support – a large percentage of Scots do not support the monarchy and good they were allowed to show their views and placards without being arrested by the police. There were loud chants of “Not our King” and lots of boos.  The scot-lib leader wants a bill to go through to stop protests – an anti-protest bill.  We are not slaves and everyone should have the democratic freedom to give their opinion and protest without being stopped as long as it is not armed.

Cost of living has spiraled surely this money would have been more useful to help the poor here?
